I got the "DD214 FOR VA Home Loans". It had been 18 years since I'd been out of military and could not find my DD214 anywhere between all of the moving around, and the underwriter needed this for closing within 30 days. There is NO way to order a copy of this off the internet overnight, no matter what some of these sites claim. So I contacted Touchstone; two copies of my original DD214 arrived to my house within 7 days.
The copies won't have the raised seal on it; however they are an exact duplicate of the original and are sufficient for faxing or scanning/emailing. I realized they are an exact duplicate because 2 weeks after receiving my DD214 copies from Touchstone I found my original DD-214 in the attic. But lesson learned...I now have plenty of copies, and Touchstone kept us on track for buying our home.
